LFF 2006: London Film Fest's big surprise

Up to 10 movies to be screened across 50 venues as part of anniversary year.

With just a week to go before the 50th London Film Festival gets underway the organisers have announced the world's biggest surprise screening.

On October 29, the screening of up to 10 films across 50 screens in London has been scheduled to celebrate the festival's 50th anniversary.

Special screening locations will include a screening for passengers at Heathrow Terminal 4 and for prisoners at Holloway Prison.

Tickets to the screenings are £5 - and the festival "anticipates" that special guests will introduce the screenings.
