Chantal Akerman, who died on October 5, 2015, will have UK premières of her 8 channel video installation NOW and her last film No Home Movie on October 30. NOW, commissioned for the 2015 Venice Biennale, is in surround sound with collected images by Akerman from "desert regions, specifically violently contested regions in the Middle East, her aim to present the current condition of violence and conflict as lived experience." Chantal Akerman: NOW is curated by Michael Mazière of Ambika P3, Joanna Hogg and Adam Roberts of A Nos Amours, presented in association with Marian Goodman Gallery.

Atom Egoyan's remembrance of Chantal Akerman after having returned from the world premiere of his film Remember at the Venice International Film Festival: "What a terrible shock. I will never forget the experience of watching Jeanne Dielman and its extraordinary exploration of endurance. That this magnificent artist is no longer with us is quite unthinkable. I was just standing in the middle of her wonderful installation in Venice some weeks ago, and now we are alone with these memories of her work and the influence it has had on our lives and creative process. A great loss. Her work will endure. -- Atom"

Chantal Akerman: NOW will also include works never before seen in the UK: D’Est (1995); A Voice In The Desert (2002); In The Mirror (2007); Tombée De Nuit Sur Shanghaï (2007); Maniac Summer (2009) and Maniac Shadows (2013).

The free exhibition is supported with funding from Arts Council England, Marian Goodman Gallery and the University of Westminster. Chantal Akerman: NOW runs from October 30 through December 6, 2015. Ambika P3, University of Westminster, 35 Marylebone Road.

No Home Movie had its US premiere at this year's New York Film Festival and will open this Friday, October 30, at the Regent Street Cinema, London.
