National Library of Scotland film site relaunched

Scotland on Screen has been upgraded.

The National Library of Scotland today relaunched its educational film website Scotland on Screen. The site, which includes resources for schools and aims to educate people about Scottish history, has had a substantial upgrade and can now be accessed by a much wider range of devices, bringing it into touch with the modern age, when 78% of internet searches are made using smartphones.

Home to the National Library of Scotland Moving Image Archive, the site provides access to hundreds of short films and clips which can be watched for free. It also includes basic guides to filmmaking. The library frequently runs evens aimed at helping young people to get creatively involved with the arts.
